Job Description
Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division is seeking a skilled and collaborative M365 Administrator to provide proactive and scheduled monitoring of infrastructure and systems for a highly visible Information Technology (IT) services effort at the Health Human & Human Services (HHS) in Rockville MD.
The Microsoft 365 Administrator will administer and maintain the M365 environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration security and continuous evolution of our Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem. This role requires not only deep technical expertise in Exchange Online and core M365 services but also a commitment to staying current with the rapidly changing platform including its integration with Azure cloud services and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. The candidate will also work with Engineering team to implement new technical projects.
Candidate MUST:
Be able to work onsite 1-2 days per week locally available for on-site support in Rockville MD or Washington DC.
Be a US Citizen or US Person who has lived in the United States for at least three consecutive years and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 4 clearance.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the agencys Exchange Online environment including mail flow transport rules message tracing and mailbox management.
Troubleshoot complex email delivery and client connectivity issues.
Manage email archiving retention policies and eDiscovery/litigation hold requirements in compliance with federal records management standards.
Administer and support core M365 services including OneDrive for Business Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft cloud apps.
Manage user identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID including user provisioning and conditional access policies.
Stay current with the evolving M365 ecosystem by evaluating testing and implementing new features and services.
Assist in the integration of M365 services with broader Azure cloud services to enhance functionality and automation.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks user provisioning and reporting.
Perform troubleshoot repair and escalate incidents and problems.
Execute preventive measures for proactive monitoring and recommend redundancy or self-healing capabilities to limit outages that impact service delivery.
Perform system or component configuration changes needed to support computing services.
Provide tier 2-3 support.
Implement solution deployment changes and updates working within the HHS Change Management system.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations SOPs training and disaster recovery plans.
Provide weekly status updates to HHS and Leidos management teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft 365 offerings specifically with regards to Entra ID Exchange Online Intune and security configurations.
MS Graph and PowerShell proficiency
Proficiency of Windows Active Directory Entra ID Connect ADFS network and internet concepts.
Effective analytical organizational and problem resolution skills.
Work cross-functionally with different teams to support HHS mission objectives.
A proactive approach to learning and adapting to the constantly changing M365 ecosystem.
Desired Qualifications:
Power Platform experience
Experience working in an Azure environment for administration
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator certification
Experience deploying or managing policies for M365 Copilot Open AI or other enterprise AI tools.
Experience managing and migrating from an on-premises Exchange hybrid environment to Exchange Online.
Understanding of email security protocols (SPF DKIM DMARC) and M365 security tools.
Prior experience working within or for a U.S. federal government agency.
Clearance Required:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust throughout the course of employment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $55250.00 - $99875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
