SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS

ACADEMY OF MUSIC

The Academy of Music launched a new multi-year transformational education project to provide access to the larger community in Hong Kong. The scope of the project covers a wide range of opportunities for the under-privileged gifted students parents engagement community music industry-higher education collaboration and curriculum development such as the use of EdTech art-tech interdisciplinary learning cross-cultural studies and performance and pedagogical research. A key component of the project includes a new 5-6 year music programme that includes an in-school/after-school instrumental ensemble-based music training for primary school students.

The Academy is inviting applications with research background for the following post to focus on impact measurement of this transformative project:

Impact Measurement Lead ()

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct impact measurement research on the project;
  • Contribute to the design of an evidence-based outcome measures framework assessment methodologies approaches to data tracking collecting reporting analysing;
  • Strengthen and refine key outcome indicators in a timely manner;
  • Stay updated on relevant social and educational developments including government policies and similar-scale projects to assess their impact on the project and conduct timely reviews for participant satisfaction improved student learning experiences and maximum project impact; and
  • Perform any other delegated duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A recognised masters degree or above with experiences in educational research action research research methodologies qualitative and quantitative research methods;
  • A minimum of six years of relevant full-time working experience;
  • Strong analytic and presentation skills (verbal and visual);
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and supervision skills; ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders from music social cultural sectors and academia;and
  • Result-oriented approach to impact measurement for the entire project while remaining open-minded to different stakeholder perspectives to enhance project review and improvement.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
