Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to create a leading edge innovative People Strategy to enhance people activities across the organisation whilst supporting and advising leaders on all aspects of the employment lifecycle. This role will be required to develop a business partnership with the CEO and Branch Managers with an in depth understanding of their operational areas and to support them in implementing best practice people activities to meet the strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role is key to supporting the strategic vision of the organisation driving innovation and people activities in line with the People Strategy to set MSJ apart from others in the industry.
- Partner with leaders to provide business-focused operational people advice and support in the implementation and embedding of people strategies and practices.
- Manage a broad range of human resources employee relations and industrial issues and provide advice on risk management as it relates to people and practices.
- Support the CEO and Branch Managers in delivering the Strategic Plan through guidance on people-related matters policies and procedures.
- Lead and/or support employee relations case management including complaints investigations grievances and WorkCover issues.
- Manage the recruitment process for all roles across the organisation.
- Coach leaders on employee relations cases (performance management misconduct grievance investigations) as well as supporting the CEO and Branch Managers to manage career development and improve performance across the organisation.
- Interpret and provide industrial and employee relations advice with support where required from the Branch Managers.
- Assist with the development and review of people policies procedures and processes to meet organisational and operational needs and ensure legislative compliance.
- Provide specialist advice and management of non-work-related rehabilitation matters by working with leaders team members and external agencies to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Support and role model the WH&S policies procedures and practices of MSJ Australia.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and will require Police Checks Blue Card and NDIS screening.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years generalist HR experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
- An HR strategic mindset bringing innovative ideas and thought leadership including AI and other technology advancements.
- Knowledge of and current demonstrated work experience in employment law working under the national legislative jurisdiction and with relevant state legislation including Workplace Health and Safety and Workers Compensation.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Awards.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end employee relations matters.
- Strong skills in effective leadership and coaching with a down-to-earth pragmatic collaborative and personal approach.
- Strong business partnering capability with an emphasis on highly developed relationship management influencing skills and cultural transformation.
- Empathy and a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Resilience adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Remuneration: Individual Contract salary will be in line with skills and experience.
