Requirements
The successful candidate should satisfy the following criteria:
A PhD in Mathematics/Statistics from a reputable university.
A strong record of research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals.
A strong record in university teaching in mathematics courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
(Preferably) Has past experience teaching in schools for K-12 levels.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for mathematics.
develop a research programme and secure competitive research grants.
supervise graduate and undergraduate students in mathematics/statistics research and school practicum
teach mathematics/statistics courses from pre-service to postgraduate level
teach advanced mathematics/statistics content courses for undergraduate pre-service teachers
(For Associate Professor) mentoring of young faculty members and serve in the NIE / NTU committees and offer professional services to schools the Ministry of Education and other public education-related organizations on a request basis.
