Job Description
Director of Billing & Revenue Cycle
Northern NJ (Bergen & Passaic Counties) and/or NY (Rockland Westchester Orange Counties)
150 - 200K
We are a rapidly growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Director of Billing & Revenue Cycle to oversee billing integration for newly acquired Skilled Nursing Facilities. In this high-impact role you will lead a specialized team through all phases of revenue cycle setup compliance and training for Medicare Medicaid HMO and other payer types.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a transition billing team during acquisitions and mergers ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Research implement and train staff on billing regulations across multiple states and payors.
Set up payer trees revenue codes CPT codes modifiers contracts and rates in the EMR.
Establish insurance portals clearinghouses and billing access for onboarding facilities.
Resolve payer issues reduce denials/rejections and manage appeals.
Optimize billing processes for efficiency and compliance.
Advise leadership on staffing workflows and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Skilled Nursing Facility billing expertise (Medicare Medicaid HMO etc.).
Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) clearinghouses and healthcare billing systems.
Experience with RUGs PDPM and PPS systems.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work in fast-paced transitions.
Ability to research and implement billing regulations across new healthcare markets.
