A career in our Corporate Transfer Pricing practice within Transfer Pricing services will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients develop compliant tax efficient structures that help advance their business goals. Youll focus on all aspects of documentation planning dispute resolution and advance pricing agreements.

Our team helps our clients with a range of transfer pricing solutions including compliance advancing pricing agreements and defence and dispute resolution. Youll focus on helping clients with business transformation that ultimately helps advance their business goals.

To support Senior Associate in preparing documents needed and analysis related to Transfer Pricing (TP) projects i.e. TP documentation tax dispute and tax planning including but not limited to:

Pre Engagement

  • Identifies the types of engagements/ services provided by TP.
  • Support Senior to identify complimentary service areas such as international tax customs indirect taxes etc. to ensure whether they need to work together with other business unit or not in handle clients case.
  • Demonstrates a focus on the marketplace by reading current business news following clients business and guidance from senior associates and managers regarding possible business opportunities.
  • Write the engagement letters and proposals according to specified template to ensure scope and terms of engagement and anticipate next steps.
  • Follow and do the PwC practice-specific policies procedures regarding risk management and document management before start the team project.
  • Reads and describes at a high level relevant government regulations (e.g. Per-43/PJ/2010 Per-32/PJ/2011 & OECD guidelines). Also identifies which countries have documentation rules.

Engagement

General

  • Meet/exceed reasonable clients expectations on an engagement as identified by project manager.
  • Interlock with clients or other PwC contact in order to ask for additional documents needed.
  • Index information and documents received from the clients; identifies and questions inconsistencies in information reviewed.
  • Assists in the development of information and document requests.
  • Data customized segments of report templates with direction.
  • Demonstrates preparedness for internal and external meetings by having all required materials at every meeting; records notes of meetings interviews and conference calls.

TP Documentation

  • Create the functional analysis interview report to identify function asset and risk of clients company based on SA direction and functional analysis interview process which done by SA and Manager.
  • Generate the industry analysis reports based on multiple sources such as benchmarking SA guidance/direction do research from tax knowledge database clients data/documents and internet to provide comprehensive information about factors influence how the industry developed.
  • Participate in team discussion to select/choose the most appropriate analysis method.
  • Apply the method chosen to analyze clients case by follow the direction from SA.
  • Write the conclusion of the analysis result based on SA guidance.
  • Report and discuss with SA regarding to the draft reports created.
  • Revise the reports created based on the review from SA.
  • Compile all reports for TPD full blown report.

Tax Dispute

  • Assist in creating letter related to tax audit objection and appeal based on guidance.

Tax Planning/Advise

  • Generate analysis report of the clients case based on the concept from Senior Associate.
  • Do research related to the financial report of the clients company.
  • Carrying out detailed computations to calculate tax liability.
  • Assist Senior Associate in preparing the compliance tax returns.
  • Assist Senior Associate in submitting compliance tax returns by deadlines.
  • Calculate clients tax return.

Post Engagement

  • Prepare soft/ hard copy work papers and administrative documents in accordance with risk management policies.
  • Enter and maintain data in TP Project Tracker.
  • Enter time and expenses in tracking system in a timely manner and meets all end-of-cycle deadlines for time reporting.
