We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Investment Strategist to lead J.P. Morgan Private Banks APAC Investment Strategy team based in Hong Kong. This pivotal role involves crafting and communicating investment narratives and delivering market insights to APAC clients . The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in global macroeconomics and markets with a strong focus on the Asia region. Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal are essential as the role requires engaging and educating diverse client types and audience sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Articulate and deliver the firms perspectives on global markets and investment strategies to both internal and external clients.
- Collaborate in formulating the Private Banks views on macro and asset classes managing a team of Investment Strategists based in Asia.
- Serve as the public face of the Private Bank in Asia sharing macroeconomic views high-conviction investment themes and portfolio construction insights with clients and prospects through one-on-one meetings and regular client roadshows.
- Understand the needs of Private Bank Asias clients and work closely with client Investment and Advice teams.
- Organize and lead the daily Asia Morning Meeting including narrative development content creation and scheduling.
- Partner with Marketing to execute the regions content strategy developing topical and relevant materials for clients and prospects.
- Media interactions will likely be part of the responsibilities.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Extensive experience in financial markets as a buy-side or sell-side strategist fund manager or research analyst.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to generate insightful and relevant investment ideas.
- A collaborative mindset with a player-coach approach.
- Exceptional client written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to convey ideas with passion and clarity simplifying complex concepts through stories anecdotes and analogies.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an asset.
- Willingness to travel for client roadshows primarily within the APAC region.
- Proficiency with statistical packages Bloomberg FactSet Haver Microsoft Office etc.
