Working Experience Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experiencein healthcare industry
- Demonstrated experienceand/or expertise in at least more than one of the following areas: health economics outcomes research marketaccess health policy health technology assessment and reimbursement
- Global market accessexperience required (as operated in at least two different markets andpreferably either China or Japan)
- Proven ability to understand businessstrategy; translate it into solutions that support the companys business goals
- Ideal candidates mustpossess the ability work from strategy development through to execution andvalue creation in a dynamic organization
- Preferred candidates willhave cross sector and global health care systems experiences

OVERALLRESPONSIBILITIES
The Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) Lead is a key positionwithin the COE and will work to support the business objectives of their regionwith direct responsibility for Ethicon Franchise and oversight of the regionaland local team serving all the Business Units and Platforms. The ASPAC HEMALead will work with Global HEMA COE and regional business stakeholders to buildand execute regional market access market access strategies that enable marketaccess and commercial success.
The ASPAC HEMA Regional and EthiconFranchise Lead will work in close collaboration with partners in Regional LeadershipTeam and Regional Marketing to ensure a competitive advantage & marketaccess in a value-based healthcare market. He/she will be developing andexecuting systematic strategies that integrate health economics outcomesresearch & market access solutions to enable successful new products launchesin the region. This position will sit onthe HEMA regional Center of Excellence (COE) leadership team reporting directlyto the WW Head of Global HEMA. The position will also have a dotted line intothe regional head of Ethicon.
He/shewill also collaborate with global HEMA teams to identify healthcare systemsopportunities and potential barriers to access in the region for products inthe pipeline and to ensure that the appropriate regional inputs are includedinto all Global EGS and HEMA strategies.
POSITION DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountablefor setting the overall HEMA strategy for the Region including all strategicand business planning as well as the development management and tracking of RegionalHEMA G&Os and budgets. Partners at the regional level to align onpriorities and resourcing for business objectives across all Business units andPlatforms.
- Ensure market accessrequirements are understood and built-in to the regional and country-specificlaunch plans with value propositions that reflect the needs of non-clinicalstakeholders and the development and execution post launch with evidence ofvalue and market access strategies that enable market access and commercialsuccess.
- Lead and direct regional and country-levelHEMA teams (inclusive of 25 individuals) across the region. Develop andexecute regional organizational and talent strategy optimizing therecruitment retention and development of diverse talent.
- Accountablefor leading and executing the HEMA strategy for the Ethicon Franchise in theregion. Develop life-cycle management strategies (including pricinginitiatives) for priority product for the region. Collaborate with FranchiseHEMA regional global functions to ensure early assessment of opportunities tofill data gas and drive optimal patient access and reimbursement.
- Lead regional and Ethicon Franchise market access and evidencegeneration and dissemination strategies.
- Successfulcandidate will work closely across HEMA as well as with multiple crossfunctional partners including R&D Medical Affairs Clinical DevelopmentMarketing Regulatory Affairs Government Affairs Legal HCC and relevant Commercialfunctions.
- Develops and maintainsstrategic relationships with key external stakeholder to influence thedevelopment of reimbursement/funding/HTA processes in local healthcare develop regional payer advisory boards for non-clinical stakeholders andshares output.
- Take a leadership role in relevant industryassociation special interest groups identifying opportunities and threatsassociated with changes in health policy in ASPAC.
