Job Description

SENIOR MANAGER SALES AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Sales and Strategic Partnerships will work directly with Etherio client Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) driving revenue growth through business development sales account management and association management. This position is responsible for selling exhibit space event sponsorships and year-round opportunities to achieve annual revenue targets; identifying and pursuing new associate members exhibitors and sponsors; creating value-driven revenue packages; managing sales documentation budgets and partnerships; and collaborating on marketing communications and event planning ensuring compliance and aligning with Association Management goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Development & Sales
  • Sell exhibit space event sponsorships and other year-round opportunities to achieve OATUGs annual revenue targets in those areas.
    • Identify and pursue potential new associate members exhibitors and sponsors; enlist others support in this area.
    • Create revenue-generating packages for OATUG that offer value and ROI to sponsors.
    • Prepare and collect all documentation required in the sales process (contracts invoices payments etc.).
    • Plan for an effective sales effort at or in conjunction with Oracle AI World.
    • Build solid partnerships with colleagues at OHUG (our conference partner) Associate Members and current exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Partner with the Marketing Specialist on the development of communications related to exhibit and sponsorship sales including marketing maintaining relevant parts of the Ascend website assisting with the development of the annual sales prospectus and post-sale communications.
  • In collaboration with the Executive Director and others develop the years annual revenue budget and sales targets for exhibit sponsorship and year-round sales.
Account and Membership Management
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads to identify opportunities across key industry sectors.
  • Develop and implement an effective communication cadence and outreach plan for Associate Member engagement and retention.
  • Manage an OATUG Customer Advisory Board or otherwise create opportunities to allow for discussions and collaboration between OATUG and its partners.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of deliverables along with other team members.
  • Serve as a single point of contact with Star Partners throughout the year to ensure effective delivery of all contracted benefits.
  • In partnership with the Tradeshow Manager education team and other team members work to ensure that we deliver a rewarding positive experience both for exhibitors and sponsors participating in Ascend and for all other year-round deliverables.
  • Partner with accounting to reconcile month-end and batch orders payments and standard transactions.
  • Plan and support on-site the Star Partner appreciation event and other activities in furtherance of building OATUG Associate membership during and after Ascend.
  • Work closely with the Membership Engagement Manager on strategies to best engage current and future members.
Association Management
  • In partnership with the Executive Director provide essential insights and updates on the organizations business development efforts to the Board and Finance Committee.
  • Provide input into OATUG and Etherio Association Management (EAM) operations processes procedures and policies.
  • Operate in compliance with OATUG and EAM policies.
  • Support the overall goals and objectives of OATUG and the EAM.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-8 years of experience in business development sales or account management preferably in B2B environments
  • Energetic and excited by making new connections
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing sales pipelines
  • Experience with event sponsorship sales trade show management and conference marketing
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities with demonstrated success in cultivating long-term partnerships
  • Enjoys meeting and talking with new people
  • Demonstrated experience with revenue generation and client relationship management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation and proposal development
  • Experience with sales process documentation
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and management
  • Comfortable with travel and on-site event management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skillset with the ability to manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Familiarity with Oracle technologies enterprise software or technology industry (given OATUGs focus)
  • Experience working with associations volunteer organizations or other member-driven communities
  • Firsthand experience with budget management financial forecasting and/or trend analysis
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Remote or Hybrid (working as a combination of remote and in-office presence) as well as the possibility of being onsite at client and/or event locations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 2 times per year
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires flexibility in scheduling such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client event or company needs.

  • Need to adapt and function in various physical settings (for example conference centers indoor and outdoor spaces).
  • Occasionally required to position self in a stooping kneeling or crouching manner.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers handle or feel objects tools machinery and computers.
  • Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Frequently computers and other electronic equipment.
  • The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate while the environments may be moderate to noisy.
