Ideal Candidates will have:
At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
EIT certification is required
Railroad bridge experience or interest in Railroad Bridgesis preferred(not required)
General Responsibilities:
Perform structural design and detailing of railroad bridge components with guidance from Project Managers and Senior Structural Engineers.
Perform tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities including field and construction service assignments as needed.
Perform bridge analysis design and detailing based on the AREMA Manual.
Familiarity with CADD software Microsoft Office Software and structural analysis software.
Problem-solving skills necessary to resolve both design and detailing issues.
Ability to identify appropriate steps in the bridge design and detailing process and the initiative to complete the necessary tasks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers project managers supervisor and other team members.
Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information orally and in writing with co-workers project managers supervisor and other team members.

The Railroad Business Unit of Modjeski and Masters is looking for Entry Level Bridge Design Engineers with interest in Railroad Bridge Design.
Railroad Bridge Unit:
Focuses on structural design evaluation and rehabilitation of new and existing railroad bridges of all types including fixed movable girder truss and arch structures. This unit focuses on the unique challenges of railroad structures including historic bridges and providing emergency services. Staff within this unit are primarily made up of Structural Engineers.
