Job Summary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Education or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a K-12 education system preferred
  • Data entry and HRIS (Human Resource Information System) experience required
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable

Reports To:

  • Human Resources Senior Manager

Supervises: NA

Job Goal(s):

Performs the full range of professional duties required to support Human Resources including the performance of complex and/or sensitive activities; may manage large-scale long-term projects; and performs related duties as required or assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

  • May represent the Human Resources department in meetings planning sessions or formal presentations

  • Provides expertise related to specific functions and responsibilities of the department
  • Serves as a resource for school-based administration and staff
  • Oversees specific job responsibilities listed below

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Enters data regularly into various Human Resource Information Systems including but not limited to:
    • Vista Red Rover TimeClock Plus RVI and other Human Resource software and programs
  • Provides support to the HR team for orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Creates reports from various district systems for the Human Resources department
  • Assists with the entering of information on the Bi-monthly personnel report for the Board of Education agenda
  • Assists with BEDS reporting
  • Maintain records and data related to assigned departments and programs.
  • Complies with all district rules regulations and policies.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Year Round Position - Salary and calendar year to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy of the Iowa City Community School District.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Districts policy on Evaluation State Statute and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
