About this position
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Scientist with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand both the granular details and the broader business context. This role supports high-impact investigative and litigation-driven work partnering closely with cross-functional teams to provide data insights in response to legal inquiries regulatory investigations and internal reviews.
The ideal candidate has direct experience contributing to data-heavy legal litigation or economic consulting projects and thrives in a fast-paced reactive environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Support reactive legal and regulatory requests by analyzing integrity ads and platform data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal Integrity Product Engineering and other internal partners to gather data interpret findings and support investigations.
- Execute structured analyses to answer complex questions related to litigation compliance regulatory response and internal risk.
- Translate ambiguous or evolving legal questions into clear analytical approaches.
- Produce well-documented reproducible work that can be reviewed and validated by legal partners.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy consistency and defensibility of data before delivery.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support ongoing improvements in data processes documentation and cross-functional workflows.
Skills/Requirements
- 210 years of professional experience with at least 2 years contributing to data science projects involving legal litigation or economic consulting.
- Strong analytical skills with eagle-eye attention to detail and the ability to validate sanity-check and stress-test data.
- Ability to think strategically and understand the broader business and legal implications behind the data.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data analysis in large-scale environments.
- Proficiency with Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work in reactive fast-paced environments where priorities shift based on legal or regulatory needs.
- Strong communication skills especially in translating complex data into clear defensible narratives for legal stakeholders.
- A steady project history. Not looking for candidates who briefly touch projects before moving on.
Pay/Salary Range:
- Pay Range: $40 - $60/hour
