Job Description

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager

JOB DETAILS:

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in selling health service-based solutions developing strong partnerships and leading successful sales efforts in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

ADVERTISEMENT
  • Recommend and execute go-to-market and channel development strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Lead and grow the revenue generation function for the organization ensuring effective and efficient processes.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by building and expanding a strong sales pipeline and securing production contracts.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive lead and deal sourcing program utilizing a range of tools to feed the sales team and generate qualified leads.
  • Continuously improve lead generation and customer acquisition strategies by running experiments and analyzing data.
  • Play a hands-on role in sales and account management including leading sales meetings closing deals and managing key customer relationships.
  • Implement scalable and repeatable sales processes using data analytics to manage a consistent pipeline and forecasting methodology.
  • Manage the performance management system for the sales and marketing team ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical metrics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales and marketing team fostering a high performance culture of accountability professional development and ethical behavior.
  • Prepare and present a comprehensive market and competitive landscape report on a quarterly basis for management and the board.

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree or Masters degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales or a related field.
  • Purpose-driven leader who is passionate about growth and selling while transforming the healthcare sector in Africa specifically in the emergency care space.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of business development and sales experience in the corporate sector with a focus on relevant industries such as finance healthcare or insurance.
  • Hands-on leadership experience with a successful track record of creating structures and processes to support growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute early-stage business plans and launch market-creating products.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on leading by KPIs critical metrics and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies.
  • Experience with CRM and lead generation tools such as HubSpot Sales Navigator Octopus and GMass.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
