CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Marriott International offers students the opportunity to find an internship thats right for you putting your education to work. The Marriott International Corporate Internship Program offers all participants an enriching and memorable learning experience.

Interns will experience an innovative learning environment that will provide an opportunity to build skills and gain exposure in the exciting world of hospitality through meaningful projects on-the-job training coaching and support. Youll gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of hotel operations and hospitality from a corporate view. Youll build skills to help prepare you to develop a career path.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a university or hotel school degree program at time of application.
  • Undergraduate in Human Resources Business Management or hospitality management preferred
  • For more specialist disciplines for example those students pursuing business or similar related courses consideration is also given for those related internship opportunities.

PREFERRED SKILLS ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and action-biased environment
  • Detailed-oriented structured and organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Analytical and Numeracy Skills
  • Take initiative and act quickly to support and deliver projects in a professional manner
  • Team player who has the ability to workwith external parties and with all levels of the organization

RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIREMENTS

The intern will work for Marriotts HR team and will be based in the Jakarta area office. The intern will assist in projects and supporting initiatives related to hotel operations. Key responsibilities include:

The HR oversees the overall functions of Human Resources at property level including HR programs systems and practices in Marriott Asia Pacific. The nature of work will entail supporting the Area HR team in both HR project management and initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence in property across Indonesia.

Key responsibilities include:

Support Area HR team on various projects and assignments as assigned
Support HR Operations team to roll out HR initiatives policies and guidelines within Indonesia region
Coordinate with Indonesia HR associates on related HR initiatives & activities that need to be executed.
Having oversight of Marriotts online HR system and database.
Analyze data and metrics and support team.

Requirements include:

  • Local student in Indonesia.
  • Eligible for undergraduate in an Indonesia registered university program.
  • Prepared to commit to a six months internship.
