General Description:The Assistant Treasurer will support the Treasurer Superintendent Governing Board and ESC Administrators in managing the districts business affairs to ensure maximum educational services are provided within available financial Responsibilities:Manage all payroll functions including salary verification deductions reporting contracts and leave and process purchase orders invoices accounts payable/receivable and monthly records and accounts on a regular timely preparation of reports required for payroll taxes retirement systems unemployment and the Affordable Care and maintain garnishments child support stipends and supplemental with benefit management including SERS/STRS retirement employee contracts calendars and employment and maintain employee files in compliance with training and assistance to staff on payroll and employment-related with administrative assistants and provide receptionist support as fingerprinting and coordinate related schedules as and maintain office equipment; learn and utilize new financial software as systems are the Treasurer and Superintendent in implementing Board policies and financial confidentiality accuracy and compliance in all financial as a professional representative of the ESC to staff districts agencies and the position requires regular sitting bending reaching and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in a moderate-noise office :Associates degree or higher in Business Administration Accounting or two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping or demonstrated competence in financial management communication organizational and computer to handle confidential information and work effectively under pressure with attention to successfully pass BCI and FBI background checks and a Valid drivers license required.
