Responsibilities:
- Build and manage data pipelines that move and process large amounts of data.
- Design data platforms using cloud tools such as Azure Snowflake BigQuery and Databricks.
- Work with BI and analytics teams to ensure they have accurate timely data.
- Use tools like Qlik Replicate Informatica or Azure Data Factory for integrating data from multiple sources.
- Model data in structured formats (e.g. 3NF Data Vault) for reporting and reuse.
- Automate and optimize data flows for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and offer technical solutions.
- Use DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub Azure DevOps) to manage code and deployments.
- Work with Spark-based and open-source tools like DBT and SQLMesh.
- Optionally support AI/ML workflows and advanced analytics if experienced.
Qualifications:
- Degree in IT Computer Science or related field.
- 35 years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and data platforms.
- Proficient in SQL Python or similar languages.
- Familiar with multi-cloud environments (Azure AWS GCP).
- Strong understanding of data modeling data governance and pipeline design.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent in English.
