Job Description
Requirements / Skills needed:
- The ability to design build and operate a technology stack.
- Configuration and automation management health checks single point of failure notifications.
- Strong operational experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell Perl Python.
- Effective cross-functional leadership skills (prior leadership experience verbal communication skills strong collaboration skills).
- Ensuring operational best practices by working closely with the deployment/releasing teams.
- Experience with AWS in a production environment: EC2 S3 VPC IAM ELB CloudWatch.
- Strong automation skills and must have a good knowledge/expertise on the following tools:
- Build Automation Tools - Apache Ant Maven
- Configuration Management Tools Ansible Chef puppet SaltStack
- Continuous Integration Tools Bamboo Jenkins TeamCity
- Continuous Monitoring Tools GENIOUS Nagios
- Testing Tools Junit
- Version Control Git Bitbucket Svn
- Cloud AWS Azure GoogleCloud Openstack
Main Objective / Context:
To have someone who can do the following:
- Focus on CWT Security and Resiliency activity.
- Ensure service availability and reliability by working with Developers and System Admin team.
- Set up configure automate and maintain services in different environment.
- Write scripts for service quality analysis and monitoring.
- Re-engineer and document processes.
- Carefully assess and adopt new technologies and tools to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure security best practices is implemented
- Develop tools to manage and automate deployments pipeline while ensuring the reliability and performance of the infrastructure
- Design and implement AWS production and staging VPCs
- Manage and improve deployments pipeline across multiple development teams
- Service attack surface minimization/hardening
- Implement security patch management automation
- Implement monitoring to ensure reliability and performance meets or exceeds business goals
- Work closely with developers/engineers to assist in the remediation and resolution of defects
