Job Description
R&D Engineering Manager (Electrical)
Our client is the leading manufacturer and distributor of consumer products. They are currently seeking for an outstanding R&D Engineering Manager (Electrical) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the complete product development lifecycle from initial concept to final project release including conducting research and analysis providing technical support creating construction designs sourcing materials and performing patent searches.
- Collaborate closely with the team manager and work cross-functionally with designers engineers departments and external vendors to facilitate the successful development of new products.
- Take ownership of multiple projects ensuring timely and effective delivery while meeting key objectives and performance targets.
- Lead mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers fostering a culture of teamwork knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in global product designs technologies materials and manufacturing techniques applying this expertise to inform and enhance new product development.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development with expertise in both mechanical and electrical plastic products.
- Creative proactive and independent with strong leadership skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of prototype development plastic injection moulding and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards.
- Proficient in CAD software and MS Office applications.
- Fluent in written and spoken English Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Willingness to travel to China as required.
