Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Jiading Shanghai.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Equipment Maintenance Engineer role involves
What a typical day looks like:
- Mechanical: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment. Or Electrical: Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers associated test fixtures stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line.
- Define/develop electronics workmanship and requirements
- Machine troubleshooting
- Machine set-up
- Provide training to machine operator
- Systematically handling of instrument documentation
- Create machine maintenance plan
- Spare part control
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Insure low machine down time
- Analyze quality or production problem and take countermeasure
- Through troubleshooting identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
- Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
- Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
- Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
- Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
- Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
- Records times and problems in equipment logs.
- Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
- Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
- Aligns repairs replaces and balances component parts and circuitry.
- Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
- Assists engineers in formulating test calibration repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring recording and indicating instruments and equipment.
- May require travel to other sites of Company or equipment vendors locations.
- Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.
- Allocating work to a team of fitters.
- Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
- Fitting new parts.
- Carrying out quality inspections.
- Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.
- Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
- Keeping production managers informed of progress.
- Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
- Working on mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic or computerized systems.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires an bachelor degree or above in related field military technical training or equivalent education and training.
- Preferable major is electronic and/or mechanical engineering.
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- 2-3 years working experience in production with electronic products knowledge of electrical instruments i.e. tests instruments and fixtures within electronic production.
- Good IT knowledge MS office skills.
- Good skill in reading writing English speaking English will be a plus.
