Environmental Specialist
Environmental Scientist/Geologist
Our client an environmental consulting and remediation firm is seeking Environmental Scientists and Geologists to support site assessments field investigations and remediation projects throughout the South Jersey area.
Responsibilities:
-Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions while effectively overseeing subcontractor activities.
-Experienced in conducting a range of field tasks including:
-site inspections
-soil and groundwater sampling
-geophysical oversight
-monitoring well installation
-other remediation or monitoring work.
-Able to communicate clearly with supervisors and project managers from the field making sound decisions as situations arise.
-Strong technical writing skills and attention to grammar well-organized reports are essential
-Background in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as well as New Jersey Site Remediation Projects is highly valued.
Requirements:
-Bachelors degree or higher in geology environmental science or a related scientific discipline along with two to six years of technical experience in the environmental consulting or engineering industry.
-Detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment communicate effectively with clients and team members and produce clear accurate technical field notes and reports.
-Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
-Strong focus on detail and quality of work with the initiative to make informed technical decisions.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
-Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and/or 8-Hour Refresher is preferred.
