Job Description

The School of Social Sciences is looking for Part-time Lecturers (PTL) who will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses under the Minor in Geography and Urban Studies (GUS).

We invite applications for part-time lecturers to conduct tutorials for Minor in GUS courses in but not limited to the following areas:

Introduction to Human Geography

Urban Geography

Postcolonial approaches to space

Spaces of exclusion and differentiation

Changing nature of work

Gender sexuality and space

Southeast Asia and Singapore

Bordering securitization and threats in a changing world

Key Responsibilities:

Propose a new course or teach an existing course.

Conduct lectures or seminars.

Conduct tutorials and assessments for a course.

Conduct grading of course assessments/exam scripts.

Other responsibilities related to undergraduate teaching.

Qualifications:

1. At least a PhD Degree in social sciences

2. At least 1-2 years teaching experience at a tertiary level with excellent teaching evaluation.

Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are preferred.
