Job Description
TITLE: Custodian - Part Time
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform custodial duties such as clean classrooms offices restrooms kitchen and other areas of assigned buildings in the District.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform essential duties
- Six (6) months of custodial or cleaning experience (preferred)
- State of Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and maintain building and equipment.
- Clean sweep vacuum and shampoo carpeting and floors.
- Mop scrub and wax floors.
- Empty trash cans and replace liners.
- Clean woodwork walls and windows.
- Sanitize and deodorize restrooms; fill dispensers.
- Clean kitchen and clean and dust offices.
- Lock and unlock doors; turn lights on and off.
- Set up classrooms cafeteria and other areas; prepares and sets up for concerts assemblies and events as needed.
- Keep equipment and supplies in working order; request supplies as needed.
- Move office and building furniture and equipment.
- Report malfunction of restroom fixtures and light fixtures or damage to room and furnishings to supervisor.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment products techniques and standards.
- Skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to verify receiving invoices control inventory and assist in handling shipping carts as directed by the supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Hazardous chemicals and dangerous machinery
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Bend stoop lift climb
Lift move or carry up to 80 pounds of materials
Climb to various heights and work in confined spaces
Operate large and small power driven machinery such as vacuum sweeper buffer or other similar equipment
