Role brief
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Background Verification & Workday
Operations Executive to manage pre-joining and onboarding activities for new hires across India.
This role will be responsible for coordinating background verification through the Kcheck portal
and ensuring accurate and timely updates in the Workday HCM system. The ideal candidate will
have a strong understanding of Indian employment documentation compliance norms and HR
systems.
Core Responsibilities
Initiate BGV cases for new joiners via the Kcheck vendor portal ensuring timely upload of
candidate documents (PAN Aadhaar education employment proofs etc.)
Track and follow up on verification progress escalating delays or discrepancies to HR and
Talent Acquisition teams
Liaise with candidates to resolve documentation gaps and ensure compliance with Indian
employment standards
Review completed BGV reports and flag any adverse findings for further action
Maintain audit-ready logs of BGV status and vendor interactions
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. POSH PF ESI labor
laws)
Create and maintain candidate profiles job requisitions and onboarding tasks in Workday
Trigger onboarding workflows including document collection joining formalities and induction
scheduling
Ensure data accuracy across Workday modules (Recruiting Onboarding Core HCM)
Generate reports and dashboards for BGV status onboarding progress and compliance
metrics
Collaborate with HRIS Talent Acquisition and Payroll teams to resolve data or workflow issues
Support configuration updates and testing for Workday processes related to India geography
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience handling onboarding for PAN India hires across multiple states
Knowledge of statutory compliance (EPFO ESIC gratuity labor laws)
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume onboarding environment
Process improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency
Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and Kcheck or similar BGV platforms
Familiarity with Indian employment documentation and compliance norms
Strong coordination and communication skills with a customer-service mindset
Proficiency in MS Excel HR dashboards and vendor portals
Education and work experience requirements
Graduate or Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent
With overall 2-5 years of work experience in HR operations or onboarding preferably in a
multinational
Open to work in Rotational shifts
