Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Physician Services Manager the Administrative Officer providessenior administrative support to the Department Head as well as supervision and distribution ofworkload to the in-scope departmental secretaries. Administrative support includes finaldocument preparation arranging meetings and interviews managing time schedules creationand distribution of communications general organization within the office coordination andpreparation of financials maintenance of statistical reports for internal and external purposes.
The incumbent will organize and prioritize the administrative activities ensuring all the work iscompleted within established time frames. The Administrative Officer will also provide researchand analytical support to task and advisory groups associated with related projects. Theincumbent for this position will assume responsibility of projects with minimum to coordinate activities with multiple partners is an important component of the position.
The Administrative Officer will work closely with other Administrative Officers and the PhysicianServices Manager in ensuring consistency and standardization with other secretarial positionsacross all oncology departments within CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB).
Other duties and responsibilities include payroll entries coordination and minute taking ofmeetings preparation and upkeep of administrative standard operating procedures preparationof financial paper work coverage for out-of-scope administrative duties and other duties asassigned.
