DEQ has an open opportunity for an Administrative Associate II.
This position is located at: Asheville Regional Office - 2090 US Highway 70 Swannanoa NC 28778* This is an anticipated vacancy.
This position is expected to be available on October 1 2025.It is full-time (40 hours per week) withState Benefits *
Description of Work:
The primary purpose for this position is to provide extensive operational logistical and administrative support to the Regional Office.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a positive customer service experience for both internal and external customers.
- Present ideas clearly and effectively in written form.
- Possess knowledge of program policies and procedural aspects of the program to provide detailed administrative support to staff.
- Processing of outgoing and incoming correspondence via normal and expedited processing is required.
- Specific knowledge and application of accounting rules and guidelines to appropriately process incoming cash and checks.
- Providing team back-up in providing administrative coverage to other divisions and programs in the Regional Office.
