Job Description

A part-time assistant research scientist position is available in the Center for Quantum Information Physics under the direction of Professor Javad Shabani in the Department of Physics at New York University. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab with graduate and undergraduate students. This opportunity provides a transition to career independence through the development of professional skills; supervision by a senior scientist incorporating an individual development plan in support of training goals and those of faculty mentors. This position will be focused on quantum teleportation and photon detection. The work will specifically involve participating in: quantum teleportation photon detection fabrication and materials characterisation.

In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $18.00/hr - $30.00/hr. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
