Het HWEngSup-team binnen IT Engineering Support ondersteunt de hardware- en mechanische engineeringafdelingen van Thales Nederland. Vanuit Hengelo leveren we applicatiebeheer lifecyclebeheer en technische ondersteuning bij het gebruik van engineeringtools waarbij we nauw samenwerken met collegas van System Engineering Software Engineering en IT.

Over jouw toekomstige baan
Als Hardware Engineering Support Engineer speel je een cruciale rol in het ondersteunen van collega-engineers met hun technische applicaties en de onderliggende infrastructuur. Je draagt bij aan de continuteit en optimalisatie van tooling ondersteunt bij incidenten en voert lifecyclebeheer uit. Je week bestaat uit afwisselende werkzaamheden: van het uitvoeren van changes tot aan het ondersteunen van gebruikersvragen en het borgen van security-eisen. Samen met je squad werk je in sprints aan verbeteringen en onderhoud. Je draagt bij aan de stabiliteit en veiligheid van onze omgevingen en tooling in nauwe samenwerking met engineeringteams.

De belangrijkste taken zijn:
Applicatiebeheer en lifecyclebeheer van hardware engineering tools (Windows en Linux)
Behandelen van incidenten en uitvoeren van changes in een DevOps-team
Ondersteunen van engineers bij de optimale inzet van tools en workflows
Automatiseren van terugkerende taken (Ansible scripting)
Samenwerken met solution architecten product owners en security collegas

Waarom ben jij een goede match
Een MBO/HBO-opleiding heeft bij voorkeur in IT of techniek
Ervaring heeft met applicatiebeheer (Windows/Linux) scripting en netwerken

About the team
The HWEngSup team within IT Engineering Support supports the hardware and mechanical engineering departments of Thales Netherlands. From our Hengelo location we deliver application management lifecycle control and technical support for engineering tools working closely with System Engineering Software Engineering and IT.

About your future job
As a Hardware Engineering Support Engineer you will play a vital role in supporting fellow engineers in their daily use of technical tools and the underlying infrastructure. Your role ensures continuity and optimization of tool usage provides incident support and performs lifecycle tasks. Your week includes a variety of activities: from implementing changes and solving incidents to optimizing workflows and meeting security standards. You will work with your squad in Agile sprints to improve services and ensure system stability and security in collaboration with the engineering teams.

The main tasks are:
Application and lifecycle management for hardware engineering tools (Windows/Linux)
Handling incidents and implementing changes in a DevOps team
Supporting engineers with optimal tool usage and workflow alignment
Automating routine tasks (Ansible scripting)
Collaborating with solution architects product owners and security teams

Why youd be a good match
Has a MBO/Bachelors degree in IT or engineering
Has experience with application support (Windows/Linux) scripting and networking
Thrives in an Agile/DevOps environment and takes initiative
Is customer-focused communicative and eager to learn
Is fluent in both Dutch and English written and spoken
