DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide support in relevant governmental department inspections.
- Support Safety and Health Committee activities audits and maintain records to ensure all safety and health requirements are in-compliance as required by legislation.
- Conduct internal safety and health audit and follow-up for closure of corrective actions.
- Assist the EHS team in maintaining as active Emergency Response Team (ERT) and coordinate trainings for the ERT members.
- Conduct machine/equipment buy-off for all new machine or equipment in the factory.
- Conduct EHS trainings and briefing to employees.
- Ensure all relevant permits for contractors are being effectively enforced. Ensure Contractors working on-site comply with all EHS requirements and take control measure to prevent accident.
- Assist in coordination of EHS monitoring activities and follow up on action required if any.
Education & Experience
- A diploma in environmental health and safety engineering science or its equivalents with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in environment health and safety.
Skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite.
