Our client is a leading International apparel and footwear company.
Theyre looking for high-potential candidates to join a successful and growing team.
Responsibilities
- Managing the companys overall sourcing strategy.
- Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to top management for approval.
- Analyzing and calculating purchasing costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
- Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis as well as market trends.
- Negotiating contracts with key suppliers including costs and terms of supply service and quality.
- Collaborating with the purchasing department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
- Supplier quality performance report analysis.
- Conducting market research as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
- Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong vendors.
- Developing creative value-focused sourcing strategies in line with business needs.
- Professionally managing and measuring suppliers for continuous performance and improvement.
- Planning and monitoring to apply new technology supporting department/ unit goals.
- Identifying material issues from faulty/damaged returns quality data and working with suppliers to claim and improve quality.
- Following up on any QA inspection rejections and actions.
- Following the business calendar timeline to ensure the operations of a team.
- Developing a yearly budget depending on sourcing needs.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business Administration Supply chain Logistics or related fields.
- Previous working experience as a Sourcing Specialist / Manager for 5-10 years.
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communicator and have strong relationship and management skills.
- Proactive approach and working efficiently.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
