We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Sourcing Manager a role that blends IT Sourcing Contract Management Supplier Management and Relationship Management.
This rare opportunity places you at the heart of a large integrated services business where youll influence the delivery of procurement and property services at scale. If youre a high performer ready to lead change we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent role with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office) and you will be part of a collaborative close-knit team.
Reporting to the Group Manager Technology Sourcing you will be responsible for the commercial relationship and governance aspects ofvendors supplying ICT products and services to the organisation.
Downer IT operates a shared services model with a focus on providing specialist services across Downers business groups in an integrated responsive and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activity manage tender evaluation an acquisition process.
- Negotiate with potential partners and suppliers developing acceptance criteria and procedures.
- Develop strategies to address underperformance and compliance failures including the application of contract terms.
- Negotiate variations and seek appropriate authorisation.
- Manage suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets.
- Ensure potential disputes or conflicts are identified early with clear escalation paths for resolution.
- Negotiate contracts in accordance with Downer policy.
- Provide specialist advice to those accountable for governance to correct compliance issues.
What You Will Bring
- A high performing mindset with a focus on quality execution.
- Youll be a great communicator and interpreter of business needs with deep procurement experience.
- Demonstrated 5 years work experience in Category Management Supply Chain Vendor Management or Procurement including all aspects of strategic sourcing development and execution.
- Experience of successfully conducting a range of negotiations across a variety of IT categories.
- Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies total lifecycle cost structures and pricing mechanisms.
- Well-developed contract review and legal negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and contractors who providea broad spectrum of IT products and services.
- General knowledge of accounting finance and law.
