Job Description
Associate Attorney with prior Litigation experience (1-3 years). The Firm works with a variety of insurance carriers and interested candidates should be eager to learn/practice Civil Defense Litigation specifically in Insurance Defense. The Firm is located in San Antonio Texas and offers a hybrid schedule but the candidate must be local. Experienced candidates should expect to hit the ground running ready to absorb their own docket of cases. Candidates must submit a resume to be considered for this new file assignments and approve initial pleadings propound discovery and/or develop strategyContact clients to discuss their cases and answer any questions. Maintains contact at a minimum of 60 daysContact claims (initial litigation plan recurring minimum 60-day contact strategy conferences etc.)Conduct all aspects of discovery from written discovery to deposition of parties fact witnesses and expert witnessesPerform due diligence; gather all relevant facts and documents; collaborate with Law Clerks Paralegals and/or other Attorneys in due diligenceResearch and determine applicable and pertinent laws statutes regulations rules and other legal authorities; identify legal issuesQualificationsCandidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school1-3 years of litigation experience preferably in personal injury or insurance defense. Must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employmentMust be in good standing with the State Bar and must have an active license to practice law in TexasStrong analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multitask; passion for client service and practice developmentSalaryCompetitive based on experience -$90000-$130000
