Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - Radiation Oncology
Summary:
Join a supportive healthcare team in the heart of Phoenix Arizona where you will provide both inpatient and outpatient radiation oncology coverage. This role will involve hospital-based responsibilities as well as outpatient care with the added opportunity to be part of a dedicated team with shared on-call duties. The facility is equipped to manage a steady volume of inpatient referrals and has a robust outpatient practice. You will play a significant role in treatment planning and patient management while working from two locations just 1.5 miles apart.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation services for inpatient and outpatient radiation treatment.
- Supervise linac-based outpatient treatments.
- Conduct treatment planning via Eclipse.
- Check daily imaging and provide outpatient services.
- Rotate with full-time providers for on-call services approximately once a month.
- Manage emergent consultations and treatment services as needed.
- Utilize EMR systems including ARIA and Cerner for patient management.
- Oversee and collaborate with support staff including RNs MAs medical physicists and radiation therapists.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Radiation Oncology - Required
- Arizona State License or IMLC LOQ in hand - Required
- Completion of a relevant Residency/Fellowship - Required
- BLS and DEA certifications - Required
License and Certification Requirements:
- Arizona State License or IMLC in hand.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current DEA certification.
