Job Description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology
Summary:
Join us in Tacoma WA where St. Josephs and St. Anthonys are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum position. This role offers the opportunity to work in an engaging hospital outpatient department setting with inpatient responsibilities primarily at St. Joseph in Tacoma. The role spans 6 months providing a chance to contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes while working within a supportive healthcare system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care.
- Conduct new patient visits and follow-up appointments efficiently.
- Manage a caseload of 16-20 patients per day.
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in rotating weekend call maximum 1 in 4 weekends.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation.
- Bridge care until a permanent hire is achieved.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
- Completion of residency/fellowship in a relevant field.
- Experienced in managing oncology and hematology cases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- WA State Medical License or IMLC ready to upload.
- Current BLS certification.
- Preferred: Clean malpractice background.
