Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Family Service Worker on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 13.47 - 17.46 per hour
Summary:
To provide early help to vulnerable children young people and their families in Swindon preventing escalation to statutory social care services. The role supports the Supporting Families Agenda by delivering personalised outcome-focused support that improves life opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Write holistic family assessments to identify needs strengths and challenges.
- Develop personalised family plans in collaboration with families.
- Co-ordinate targeted support services and partner agency input.
- Review progress regularly through Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings.
- Work within Community Family and Youth Hubs as part of Swindon Communities Together.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children young people and families in a support or intervention role.
- Strong assessment and planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Flexible and motivated approach to achieving positive outcomes.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
