1-month contract with a local authority (TBC)
Summary
- This role involves transporting and supervising children and young people in care during their contact with parents carers or others as specified in their care plan. This position is focusing on ensuring safe and structured interactions in compliance with care requirements.
- Collect and safely transport children from their placement to the contact venue and back.
- Supervise contact between children and their parents ensuring adherence to contact requirements and procedures.
- Provide a written report on the contact proceedings using the required template.
- Report any safeguarding concerns to the Contact Manager and the allocated social worker.
- Assist with service duty arrangements.
- Utilize various computer applications as needed.
- Maintain contact rooms to meet Health and Safety standards.
Experience and Qualification
- Experience with children under 10 years in a professional voluntary or personal capacity.
- Desirable qualification in childcare or equivalent.
Additional Information
- Current driving license and sole use of a car for work purposes.
- Availability to work flexibly outside of core hours.
- DBS check is required.
