This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power in Senatobia MS.
Your role and responsibilities
Supports the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global category leader and fosters clear communication internally externally and between businesses as well as supports the implementation of procurement activities and initiatives.
Creates local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts. Runs benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.
Supports regional/global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies. Negotiates agreements with main suppliers and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
Onboards new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer runs regular supplier evaluations and provides supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers.
Runs regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold.
Qualifications
BS degree in Business Engineering or relevant fields.
5 years plus experience in Procurement working experience at a minimum of one of these categories: thermoplastic thermoset plastic metal and copper electrical components experience.
Knowledge of SAP AMSAP SAP Torque PowerBI Microsoft Office and the Electrification market
Spanish is a plus
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
