This Position reports to:
OPC DIGITAL LEADERIn this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop implement and facilitate successful onboarding of digital solutions and the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. Each day you will provide consultative assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal to improve productivity and efficiency. You will also showcase your expertise by helping the customers to achieve their solution goals and objectives by leveraging domain expertise and knowledge on ABBs digital solutions.
The work model for the role is # LI - Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading MES (Manufacturing Execution System) projects delivery team in Specialty Chemicals Energy industry and Batch process manufacturing. Manage and guide a team in projects and services ensuring effective execution of MES and Digital solutions.
- Design Develop Test MES solution based on ABB Ability platform following best practices.
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting: Perform complex diagnostics on MES infrastructure software and interfaces to ensure seamless operation.
- Process analysis and optimization: Analyze existing processes identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions for enhancement collaboration.
- Collaboration and customer communication: Work closely with customers during implementation and support phases while sharing knowledge and participating in code reviews.
- Technical documentation: Develop and maintain solution development documentation to ensure clarity and traceability.
- Development of standards: Shares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines. Develop standard processes and tools for productivity and quality improvement for delivery of MES software solutions.
- Engineering Estimates : Understanding of customer technical specification documents and preparing engineering estimates and solutions based on ABB Ability platform.
- Competency Development: Onboarding training and skill enhancement of the team.

Qualifications for the role
- 15 years of experience in design implementation and deployment of software solutions using SDLC Agile methods
- Leading a team of software solution engineers
- Developing Requirements User stories and work breakdown structure
- Knowledge of Control Systems like DCS SCADA PLC
- Knowledge of MES functions such as Materials Management Equipment Tracking Order Management Scheduling and Experience on interfacing with 3rd party systems using communication protocols like Modbus OPC UA etc .
