Remuneration:$106789 - $117128 pa HEW Level 7 (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for scholarly collections including open access and transformative agreements and collaborative resource management Monash University Library is seeking a skilledLicensing and Negotiations Coordinatorto lead innovative licensing practices and drive impactful negotiations that support research education and global knowledge sharing.

In this dynamic role youll foster strategic stakeholder relationships and coordinate high-level negotiations with vendors consortia and stakeholders ensuring sustainable access to online resources. Youll be at the forefront of transformative agreements and open access initiatives helping Monash Library evolve in a rapidly changing information landscape.

What youll do:

  • Interpret facilitate and manage the Librarys licensing and scholarly resource negotiations with a focus on innovation and sustainability
  • Articulate and develop open access strategies including transformative agreements
  • Analyse data to assess collection performance and inform decision-making
  • Provide expert advice and training to staff and stakeholders
  • Collaborate across teams and contribute to strategic planning and policy development
  • Resolve complex access and authentication issues

What youll bring:

  • A degree in librarianship information management or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in licence review interpretation and negotiation vendor relations and online resource management
  • Strong negotiation project management and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated independence and the ability to provide recommendations and decisions autonomously
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
