JOB TITLE: Training and Learning Coordinator

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Chief Financial Officer Finance Division continues to consolidate its role as a proactive engaged and global partner able to truly support and advise both the management and other functions. Efforts in capacity building help to ensure that WFPs finance staff are empowered and updated on new financial landscapes and latest technologies. As WFPs donor base expands to new donors such as international financing institutions and the private sector the need arises for sensitization initiatives to inform new donors on WFP donor financial reporting architect
Accordingly the branch needs an expertise to augment existing capacity with a focus on proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders sensitizing donors on WFP financial architecture standard donor reporting and coordinate initiatives aim at broadening knowledge of WFP field community on topics processes relating to contribution management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Chief the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks
Continue formulating learning curricula and knowledge resources relevant to evolving capacity building needs of the team and WFP field community using available learning platforms and technology.
Proactively coordinate and engage in the development of online learning content with the support of subject matter experts and partners with the aim of broadening the knowledge CFORCs work and impact on the field through webinars workshops and other virtual means.
Support the team in the Annual Country Report exercise by validating the financial figures prior and ensuring data alignment between the operational and financial sections. Collaborate with Performance Management team and RB/CO as required on resolution of any pending issues.
Coordinate the update of the cross-functional guidance materials on topics related to contribution financial management and donor reporting USA ACR Balance Transfer IFI CSP Closure Guidelines Specialized Donor Financial Report Uncertified Donor Financial Report.
Support the team in drafting and finalization of new procedures governing financial reporting requirements of new donors such as the Green Climate Fund Adaptation Fund Private Donor Fund IFIs Emerging Donors etc.
Bring to completion work on translating of materials and guidelines already developed to French and Spanish with the external supplier.
Be the branch focal point on Annual Performance Plan (APP) in gathering input and coordinating among streams in CFORC draft the required information or content for the Chiefs review.
In collaboration with the divisional communication focal points develop means of communication through platforms such as WFP go and Communities with the aim of enhancing information sharing and corporate awareness of the donor reporting/ contributions management stream of work within the branch but primarily at the cross-functional level.
Collaborate with Senior Finance Staff such as Chiefs Regional Finance officers Finance officers and others on development of content and its update as required.
Coordinate in liaison with the HR capability branch and where relevant as agreed with the team leads in the Branch on development opportunities for the unit staff. Such include online self-study materials face to face training opportunities and/or TDYs Job swaps etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advance or University Degree in any relevant areas.
Experience:
Experience working in areas of communication and knowledge management
Experience in preparing managing and/or coordination of training webinar cross functional team working schedules.
Ability to lead change management communication and generate interest and adoption of new corporate initiatives processes and structural changes.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to identify key corporate themes and develop communication content.
Good knowledge of and written ability in English.
Languages:
Advanced proficiency in English language. Other UN language(s) will be an added advantage.
