The People Systems & Analytics team is leading the change with the goal to increase digitization analytics capabilities automation and flexibility of People and Culture. To do so we are responsible for providing a living ecosystem of HR solutions that empowers the workforce with an improved user experience in a digital workspace and will enable the organization to make valuedriven business decisions. Reporting to the Manager Workday Talent & HCM the Functional Business Analyst will be a critical member of the People Systems team responsible for the configuration and evolution of our HR technology ecosystem Workday with a specific focus on our Recruitment Talent and Learning this role you will collaborate closely with business process owners to understand their HR programs define requirements deliver enhancements and provide system solution recommendations that will meet the needs of the business and facilitate effective and efficient HR processes. There are 2 Contractual roles for a period of 1 year & 1 Permanent position. For these roles we are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following functional Workday modules:

This position can be located in Ottawa Montreal or Toronto and travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities may include the following types of tasks in your relevant functional domains:
Collaborate with HR process owners to understand People & Culture and business context particularly in the domains of Recruitment Learning and/or Talent & Performance to translate business requirements into system solutions that will effectively support programs and policies.
Gather and define business requirements providing advice and guidance that follow effective design principles and guidelines.
Ensure cross functional system impacts are considered in your design and have an end-to-end business process perspective to your recommended solutions which include reporting and workflow impacts.
Follow strong governance around documentation of systems changes.
Partner closely with the technical IT team to design develop test and implement related or interfaced solutions.
Configure test and implement system approved business requirement changes.
Review test and implement bi-annual Workday releases including analysis to determine impact and opportunities to business processes presenting suggested new features.
Participate in the development of training and adoption strategies including communication to end users.
Manage and execute incoming support tickets as well as ongoing system improvement tasks.
Provide system administrator tasks including system performance monitoring functional configuration security workflow control table maintenance development of custom fields bulk data loads and reporting in support of these administrative functions.
Stay abreast of new functionality and roadmap features that would support HR program strategies or an overall enhanced user experience suggesting to HR process owners opportunities to leverage Workday to support their programs.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
2 years of progressive experience working directly with Workday with particular preference for experience with the Recruitment and Talent module configuration as well as some experience in Core HCM Security and basic Report creation .
Experience in Project Management and delivery Continuous Improvement initiatives and Supporting Bi-annual Workday Releases are an asset
Knowledge Driven: Staying up to date with Workday learning New Features leveraging Community articles
The ability to build strong and effective relationships at senior levels and clearly articulate your ideas influence and facilitate conversation to drive consensus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Innovative thinking clear analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to explain technology concepts and issues in a manner that business partners understand.
Bilingual: French and English are an asset.
