Carlson Construction Group is seeking a Safety Manager with experience in Land Marine Subcontracts or Mechanical disciplines to join our dynamic team in North Vancouver. Youll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of exciting upcoming projectsincluding major marine terminals bridge foundations and large-scale infrastructure upgrades that will shape the future of BCs coastline and communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety records and monitor incident trends.
- Review safety documentation and provide feedback.
- Support safety planning and conduct worker orientations.
- Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance and enforce safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections hazard assessments and investigations.
- Keep management informed of safety issues.
- Promote safe working conditions across all project sites.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of field safety experience (industrial construction preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Results-driven with excellent organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts and travel outside the Lower Mainland.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Professional safety designation (e.g. CRSP RCSO CHSC CSS CIH ROH).
- Occupational First Aid Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with BCCSAs C.O.R. program and auditing.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and time-management skills.
