Job Description

The Zoho Business Development Sales Consultant is responsible for guiding new clients through the Zoho ecosystem ensuring they understand how Zoho applications align with their business needs. This role involves providing expert advice conducting demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs) and successfully transitioning clients from leads to closed deals. The candidate will be accountable for achieving quarterly sales and implementation targets while maintaining a consultative approach to client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Zoho Consulting & Business Solutioning

  • Assess client needs and recommend tailored Zoho One solutions that align with their business objectives.

  • Provide strategic advisory services on how Zoho applications can optimize business processes and improve efficiency.

  • Guide clients through the solution selection implementation planning and decision-making process.

2. Sales and Client Onboarding

  • Transition leads into qualified deals ensuring a smooth journey through the sales pipeline.

  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets by driving conversions and securing new business.

  • Work closely with the sales and implementation teams to ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to deployment.

3. Product Demonstrations and Proof of Concept (POC) Development

  • Conduct compelling Zoho One product demonstrations for prospective clients articulating technical solutions in business-friendly language.

  • Build and present Proof of Concepts (POCs) that showcase Zoho s capabilities in real-world applications.

  • Adapt presentations based on client requirements industry use cases and business needs.

4. Relationship Management & Customer Success

  • Build strong trust-based relationships with clients ensuring long-term engagement and retention.

  • Provide ongoing advisory support post-sale to help clients maximize their Zoho investment.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on client growth and evolving needs.

5. Market and Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on Zoho s latest features integrations and industry trends.

  • Conduct regular research on competitor solutions and market positioning to enhance client recommendations.

  • Continuously refine Zoho solution strategies to align with evolving customer needs.



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through lead conversion.

  2. POC & Demo Effectiveness Maintain a 75% success rate in converting POCs and demos into deals.

  3. Client Satisfaction & Retention Ensure a 90% customer satisfaction rating post-sale.

  4. Lead-to-Deal Conversion Rate Successfully transition at least 50% of qualified leads into closed deals.

Product Knowledge & Certifications Stay current with Zoho certifications and product updates


Requirements


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Zoho One applications and their role in business digital transformation.

  • Strong business analysis and solutioning capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagements.

  • Ability to present complex technical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Experience in sales pre-sales consulting or business advisory roles.

  • Strong demonstration and POC development skills.

  • Ability to meet and exceed sales and client engagement targets.

Competencies:

  • Consultative Selling & Solutioning (40%) Ability to align Zoho products with business needs and drive solution adoption.

  • Presentation & Demonstration Skills (30%) Capability to deliver engaging and impactful POCs and demos.

  • Client Relationship & Business Development (30%) Strong ability to transition leads to deals and build long-term client relationships.




Matric and diploma / Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. EXPERIENCE (PRACTICAL ON-THEJOB EXPERIENCE) 3-5 years experience administering an ERP system. Experience with ERP Systems advantageous Experience in, report writers, SQL, workflow, and UML modelling advantageous. Must have experience managing projects, setting up, deployment of information systems. Experience in Microsoft 365 products and Business reporting Tools/Solutions will be advantageous KEY COMPETENCIES Knowledge (what must I know): Computer Literate Excel ERP systems Skills and Abilities (what must I be able to do / display) Have a good understanding of business processes and the documentation thereof. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
