CloudSmiths is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.
Reporting to the Principal Lead you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and Salesforce solutions working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Purpose of the Role:
Your main tasks will involve performing detailed requirements analysis documenting processes and carrying out some user acceptance testing all within the Salesforce ecosystem.
We are looking for someone with a natural analytical way of thinking who can effectively explain complex Salesforce concepts to non-technical users.
This role requires 100% sustained utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong business relationships with Account Executives within CloudSmiths and develop go-to-market strategies as a team.
- Collaborate with the Business Analysis team on Salesforce project planning.
- Participate in the preparation note-taking and facilitation of workshops focused on Salesforce solutions.
- Consolidate and clearly present workshop notes.
- Contribute to crafting user stories and defining clear user requirements for Salesforce functionalities.
- Support senior resources by assisting with delegated Salesforce analysis tasks.
- Facilitate workshops to gather Salesforce requirements and document important takeaways.
- Summarise data gathered during Salesforce analysis engagements.
- Document existing business processes and map them to effective Salesforce solutions.
- Develop use cases within the Salesforce platform.
- Ensure tasks are correctly allocated especially those related to Salesforce configuration and development and reallocate as needed.
- Liaise with users to identify and understand their underlying business objectives ensuring the proposed Salesforce solution is fit for purpose.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Salesforce-related issues.
- Evaluate business processes anticipate Salesforce requirements pinpoint areas for improvement and develop and implement Salesforce solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases features and IT advancements to automate and modernise systems.
- Configure and customise Salesforce declarative features such as Flows Process Builder validation rules page layouts custom objects and fields to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within Salesforce.
- Collaborate effectively with Salesforce developers on custom solutions and integrations.
- Manage Salesforce data integrity through data migration ensuring data quality and adhering to data governance processes.
Education and Certifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in an IT or Business-related field is required.
- Significant CRM exposure particularly with Salesforce is essential.
- Required: Salesforce Administrator Certification.
- Preferred: Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g. Sales Cloud Consultant Service Cloud Consultant Business Analyst).
- Preferred: A certificate in Business Analysis.
Experience and Competencies:
- 5 years of business analysis experience with a significant portion focused on Salesforce projects.
- Proven experience in gathering requirements for Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud Service Cloud and/or other relevant Salesforce products.
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration including custom objects fields workflows validation rules and process automation.
- A solid understanding of Salesforce data models and data management best practices.
- Well-developed emotional intelligence (EQ) with outstanding natural consultative engagement skills.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning abilities.
- Polished communication skills.
- A good knowledge of business and the relevant domain.
- Good knowledge and experience in business and data analysis tools such as Power BI Tableau and Salesforce reporting tools.
- Familiarity with data migration and integration tools relevant to Salesforce.
