We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our clients team.
Salary and Benefits:
Responsibilities:
- Running of procurements and doing edited averages for local suppliers
- Placing of orders on imported lines
- Communicating and arranging with the supplier on delivery date
- Loading of orders into Pastel and creating purchase orders
- Signing off on payments for the local suppliers
- Maximizing payment terms based on order dates
- Managing the return of local stock where overstocked.
- Doing Costings for product input
- Ensuring inputs are done on time
- Preparing the aged report for all lines weekly and sending through analysis
- Tracking all expiries and submission of weekly report for all product lines
- Preparing pricing for all local portfolios
- Ensuring that products are selling at the correct margins.
- Managing the IBT process and being responsible for the stock status
- Running the month cover reports with the sales manager
Key Skills:
- 2 years procurement experience in an FMCG environment.
- Must possess good analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral & written communication skills and be able to work under pressure.
- Must have good Excel knowledge.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Should possess persuasive negotiation Skills.
- Ability to follow procedures.
- Must be able to deliver results against key targets.
Qualifications:
- HND in procurement or equivalent
