Job Summary

Maintenance Manager Private Safari Camp Greater Kruger (Selati Region)

A well-established Big 5 private safari camp in the Selati region is looking for a hands-on experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily maintenance operations of the lodge infrastructure vehicles water systems electrical supply and general upkeep of the camp. This is a live-in position in a remote bush environment requiring someone bush-savvy adaptable and practical in approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain lodge infrastructure including buildings plumbing electrical systems boreholes solar systems water reticulation and waste management.
Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure all maintenance records are kept up to date.
Maintain lodge vehicles game viewers trailers and workshop equipment.
Manage staff within the maintenance department including groundsmen and assistants.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Liaise with suppliers contractors and service providers.
Assist with bush clearing road maintenance and firebreaks as required.
Be on call for emergencies and breakdowns.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

5 years experience in a similar role within a remote lodge or safari camp environment.
Solid all-round maintenance skills: plumbing electrical carpentry welding solar generators boreholes vehicle maintenance.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a small team.
Ability to work independently with initiative and foresight.
Physically fit and able to work in remote bush conditions.
Driver s License (Code 08 or higher).
Good communication and reporting skills.
