Job Purpose:
To provide IT technical assistance to users with technical support of desktop computers applications and related technology
Key Performance Areas:
1. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
1.1 Provide technical support to end-users via phone email or in-person troubleshooting hardware software and network issues.
1.2 Install troubleshoot and maintain hardware including laptops desktops printers VOIP devices and networking equipment (both wired and wireless).
1.3 Diagnose and resolve faults logged on the companys helpdesk system escalating to the Systems Administrator when necessary with agility and precision.
1.4 Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure.
1.5 Collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex technical issues and escalate problems as needed.
1.6 Document and track support requests and resolutions using ticketing systems.
1.7 Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates patches and backups.
1.8 Assist in the implementation of IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data.
1.9 Provide training and assistance to users on basic IT procedures and best practices.
1.10 Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
1.11 Monitor and manage user and their devices via the Microsoft Intune Portal.
2. APPLICATION SUPPORT
2.1 Answering basic questions regarding MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.) how to zip/unzip files or any other company specific applications.
2.2 Application updates to existing software.
3. SPECIAL PROJECTS
3.1 Assists in special projects which may include installations of new equipment and testing applications.
3.2 Will assist the technical team by resolving management personal requests and projects.
3.3 And assist with any task that forms part of the technical team responsibilities.

Requirements

2. A or equivalent qualification. (N will be advantageous) ;
3. This is a junior role and no prior experience is required however 0-12 months experience in desktop support within the IT industry will be beneficial.
