Job Description
Role: IT Developer
Work Location: Washington DC (Remote)
Duration: Long term contract
- Develop deploy and maintain software applications and backend services
- Run and monitor software performance tests; debug and optimize applications
- Install and upgrade software products as needed
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of web applications
- Provision and manage development environments (local virtual or cloud-based)
- Design and maintain deployment scripts and artifact repositories
- Automate routine development tasks (e.g. code formatting testing linting)
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions
Required Skills & Technologies:
- Programming & Frameworks: C# MVC Core Web API JavaScript jQuery HTML CSS Bootstrap AJAX
- Databases: SQL (stored procedures functions performance tuning)
- Cloud & Tools: AWS GitHub Enterprise GitHub Actions
- Scripting: Bash PowerShell Perl
- UI/UX: Responsive web design MVC architecture Razor syntax SASS customization
- Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Developer CompTIA Security Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Certified Software Development Professional
Security & Clearance Requirements:
- Public Trust Tier 2 clearance (background check via U.S. Capitol Police)
- Favorable FBI criminal check and fingerprinting prior to start
