Minimum Requirements:
Must be registered with the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (CGISA) (proof of valid membership is required).
A relevant degree or diploma in governance law business administration or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of company secretariat experience.
Demonstrated experience in the public sector
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Secretariat Services to the Council (Board) and its Subcommittees.
Attend all Council and Subcommittee meetings (primarily virtual).
Prepare chairperson s draft reports and coordinate quorum confirmation.
Compile and distribute meeting agendas minutes matters arising and meeting packs (electronically and/or in hardcopy).
Maintain attendance registers declarations of interest minute books and resolutions registers.
Provide governance advice during meetings including compliance with King IV the Companies Act and public sector legislation.
Support the Council CEO and all committees with administrative and legislative matters.
Maintain confidentiality and securely store all records and recordings.
Draft annual work plans aligned to the Council s reporting duties.
Conduct annual Council and Subcommittee assessments.
Prepare annual evaluation tools for the Secretariat service.
