Job Description

Agile transformation leader with financial acumen ready to drive team excellence

Qualifications/Experience Required

Minimum mandatory qualifications:

  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience as a Team Lead

Minimum mandatory experience:

  • 5-8 Years Experience in Agile Principles
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams using the AGILE methodology

Advantageous experience:

  • Proven track record of successful projects delivered
  • Proven experience in senior/leadership roles fulfilled in IT/engineering teams
  • Project Management qualification (advantageous)
Essential Skills Requirements
  • 5-8 Years Experience in Agile Principles
  • Ability to manage a technical team using the AGILE methodology
  • Preferred candidate with Accounting or Financial background
  • Understanding of demand & forecast planning
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Leadership skills and knowledge of facilitation situational awareness conflict resolution continual improvement empowerment and increasing transparency
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the team
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques numerous Retrospective formats handling bugs)
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) on technical and non-technical level
  • Aboveboard work ethics-this is of utmost importance
  • Flexibility to take up different tasks in the product
  • Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
  • Must be able and willing to travel to internationally if required

  • Supervision: Completely independent worker that will only escalate tasks that are complex and outside of their span of control. May need to lead individual members of a team of Entry and advanced-level experts
  • Problem solving: Improve a product or a system that already exists by making conceptual changes and enhancements. Can manage the solution for complex problems that may require simple solutions but affect multiple systems
  • Communication: Influence (Effect change without direct exercise of command where persuasion is required and reaching buy-in might be difficult). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Willingness to engage with international customers and navigate potential language barriers
  • Delivery: Specify new products processes and standards based on organization strategy or set short- to mid-term operational plans. The requests are often unclear and will need substantial investigation to ensure that the specifics are well understood by all parties. Employee may be expected to provide guidance to lower-level employees
  • Knowledge: Functional expert-mastery of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice
Role & Responsibilities
  • The Agile Master (Senior) is responsible for guiding teams and organizations on how to use Agile/Scrum practices effectively while adding value to projects and customers.
  • This role involves facilitating Agile ceremonies coaching teams to higher levels of maturity and leveraging financial/accounting expertise to optimize demand planning and project delivery within the Code Beamer environment.
  • Agile Guidance and Value Creation: Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and add value to project and customers. Align within bigger teams to ensure good collaboration and value adding
  • Cross-Site Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Owners and colleagues across multiple sites/locations ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Workshop and Meeting Facilitation: Give structure to workshops and meetings to help lead and facilitate the teams agile way of working. This includes facilitating discussion decision making and conflict resolution
  • Team Self-Organization Coaching: Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization teams/Agile i.e. closing the loop and getting things done
  • Agile Maturity Assessment: Assessing the Agile maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team/projects
  • Impediment Removal: Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Safe Environment Creation: Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Communication and Transparency: Assisting with internal and external communication and improving transparency.
  • A key part of this will be finding a way to show the status/performance of the team
  • Product Owner Support: Supporting the business product owner especially with respect to the process of grooming the product backlog.
  • Pointing data quality issues out and facilitating them being fixed-arriving at more mature stories will be key
  • Servant Leadership: Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
  • Project Coordination: Assist with project- and team coordination tasks when needed
