Were a growing commercial and residential builder based inLorton VA actively managing50 projectsacross Northern Virginia. Were seeking ahands-on Controllerwith deep construction accounting expertise to lead full-cycle financial operations and help us transition from outdated software to a modern accounting system.

What Youll Do
- Oversee financials for 2530 commercial and 3050 residential projects
- Handle full-cycle accounting includingjob costingandcredit card expense entry
- Partner with AP/AR staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Investigate project-level financial issues and cost overruns
- Lead system migration fromConstruction Partners (DAS-based)toPeachTree or similar
- Manage dual books during the software transition
- Dive deep into financials and provide actionable insights to leadership
What You Bring
- 12 years of accounting experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Strong construction accounting background (commercial or residential)
- Hands-on detail-oriented leadership style
- Experience with job-level financial review and analysis
- Bonus if youve led or supported asystem migration or software integration(PeachTree a plus)
